What’s included in maekabox?

Each set contains 1x2 layered box, 1x elastic strap, 4x moveable
dividers and 1x cutlery set (spoon, fork & knife). You will also receive the "Just maekabox" e-book.

What are the dimensions of the box and how much food can it hold?

Each box is approximately 19*11.8*7cm and can hold up to 2.25c of solid foods.

What are the boxes made out of?

PP (50% wheat straw + 50% plastic). The lid contains bamboo.

Are they dishwasher safe?

With the exception of the bamboo lid, the box components are dishwasher safe. To reduce scratches and for upkeep of the box, it is recommended to handwash box components.

Are they microwave safe?

While only the cooked food in the bento container (not the lid,
dividers or utensils) may be reheated at 100°C for no
more than 3 minutes, it is highly recommended to pour contents into a glass bowl for reheating.
Microwave strengths vary and may impact the upkeep of the box.

Can the lid be used as a cutting board?

Soft foods can be cut on the bamboo lid; however, coloured food (e.g.
berries) may stain the lid like all bamboo cutting boards.

Can I put liquids in the box?

All liquids should be in a separate container or sauce box. Placing
foods that contain liquids (e.g. yogurt, cottage cheese) will naturally separate
and seep through the divider.

Are the dividers supposed to fit tightly in the box?

No, the dividers are meant to be moveable.

Why isn’t the box lid closing correctly?

If the lid isn’t fitting correctly then it contains more food than
need (i.e. your portion is too high) Remove some of the food or rearrange it
assist with closing.

Where are the boxes shipped to?

Currently the boxes are shipped to Canada, United States and UK. Please note the boxes are patent pending.

When can I expect my order to be delivered?

All orders (Canada and United States) are shipped from Canada using Canada Post with an average delivery time of 10-15 business days. Orders shipped outside of Canada and US can take 1 to 3 months.

Pre-orders and orders near the holidays may take longer than expected (i.e. shipments to be delivered towards end of December).

Are they refundable?

Do to the nature of the box (food storage), they ARE NOT
refundable. If however, the box is damaged upon receiving (within 48 hours), email info@nutritionbydevika.com for
support.
